Full course description
Mile High Early Learning’s Child Development Associate (CDA) Training and Seminar consists of 120 hours of early childhood education training in 8 modules, in addition to a seminar course that helps the CDA candidate prepare their professional portfolio and get ready for their verification visit and exam. Students enroll in the online CDA Training and Seminar as a cohort (completing all 8 modules plus the seminar course) in 16 weeks.
Module 1: Introduction to Early Childhood Development and Education
Module 2: Physical and Cognitive Development
Module 3: Social and Emotional Development
Module 4: Observation and Assessment
Module 5: Child Health and Safety
Module 6: Working with Families
Module 7: Child Care Program Operations
Module 8: Professionalism in Early Childhood Education
Each Module consists of 15 hours of training which includes online, and practicum components. The modules are accompanied by a text and/or other resources, which participants may then keep to build their own professional resource libraries!
This training takes place completely online with a weekly online meeting (day of week to be determined!)
